President Obama has said that he would like to see gasoline prices rise again. Now that he is president, and has control of both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate, Democrats are once again moving to block off-shore drilling, development of coal and nuclear resources, and the prevention of new refineries for oil in the United States.
The logic of Democrats on the issue of energy defies logic unless the American people are willing to recognize their true motives! Democrats are absolutely determined to destroy domestic energy producing industries and drive energy prices of every type beyond the reach of most Americans. In their warped logic, this will reduce energy consumption. What their efforts are really intended to do, however, is to require the people of the United States to depend upon energy resources produced by our nation's enemies which will further erode and compromise the national security of the United States. It should be noted that they do so ignoring the fact that those other nations will produce the same amount of energy resources required by the market to meet our need without regard to the environment Democrats pretend to be determined to protect!
Reducing our national security capability, by the way is not an unintended consequence. One of their primary goals today is to weaken the security position of the United States internationally so that our ability to go to war will be reduced (Democrats always see the United States as the global bully).
I am absolutely convinced that the Democrat Party of today is not confused about the destructive effect their policies will have upon our country. They do not value the nation built by our founding fathers or preserved by our forebears to this present generation; instead, they seek to impose a new Marxist form of government upon our nation and are presently sprinting toward that goal before the people awaken to the threat!
My father was a Democrat, but I doubt he would recognize his Party today.
